    The problem with marrying later is losing your fertile years. My husband and I were both beyond our most fertile years and never had children.

    When I heard you guys talking about waiting upon the Lord, it reminded me of some impressions I had a while ago about that phrase. When I hear that we need to wait upon the Lord, I think less of waiting like in a doctor’s office, and more of waiting tables. As a waiter, we are serving, doing things we are asked and tend to get a better tip if we’re cheerful, do things in a timely matter and doing things right. The Lord asks us to keep his commandments, and as we do so cheerfully and punctually like a good waiter, and seek to relieve the needs we see of others around us, we can stand assured to see the arm of God revealed in our lives and be confident that we will be ready to receive the blessings that He will send in His time.
